Limetech plans to enter international markets this year

Exclusive interview with LimeTech director Gevorg Safarian 

Safarian – The company was established in 2008 and is providing a variety of IT services, including business system automation solutions. As for the past year it was quite successful. The main achievement was the opening of IT Guide subsidiary in Nagorno-Karabakh, which will operate as a distributor of IT solutions of LimeTech, and other companies.

Safarian - Since its inception we have been focused on the Armenian market, and today we have over 50 clients, including two of the three telecommunications companies - ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) and K-Telecom (trading as VivaCell - MTS), as well as Karabakh-Telecom in Nagorno-Karabakh. Other clients are Ameriabank, Armswissbank, Inecobank, ACBA Credit Agricole Bank and others. As for the demand for our products, I can say that of tens of Armenian firms using queue management systems, currently only two use other than our solutions. There were even cases when German-developed systems were replaced by ours.

 

Safarian - Today LimeTech is not cooperating with international companies. Instead we are strengthening our links with local businesses. In particular, we will soon sign a cooperation agreement with one of the largest IT companies in Armenia, but I would not like to disclose its name because of commercial considerations.

 

Safarian - In 2012 we are planning to enter the international market, in particular, we will present our product "City Guide" – an information for tourists visiting Prague, Brussels and Dubai.

Safarian – Our clients know that our products are with high quality and at convenient price. In addition, LimeTech not only sells, but 

also provides maintenance services, ensuring prompt and effective solutions to fix problems arising during system operation. As for the benefits of using our solutions, they enhance the level of customer service. On the other hand, they allow monitoring the level of services provided to our clients by our staff.

Safarian - Many Armenian businessmen are not willing to invest in buying our solutions because they do not understand their effectiveness. Today, only the financial sector of the Armenian economy appreciates the benefits of automated business systems, but only 50% agreed to invest in our technology. The others are passive, by virtue of small size of their companies, and because they are not ripe for it.

Safarian - In my opinion, to invest in the IT sector in Armenia is very profitable, because there are talented young people who have accumulated years of experience. This is enough for any international company to open a branch in Armenia and to successfully promote their businesses. As for the competition, I can say that there are no companies here to offer products similar to ours.

Safarian - The main obstacle to business development is the small Armenian market. Another problem is the absence of investments environments. On the other hand, an access to foreign markets will solve many problems, in particular, the small size of the market. -0-
