Armenian Beeline ceases cooperation with several payment terminals
YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. ArmenTel telecom operator (trading as Beeline) said today it has ceased cooperation with TelCell, Idram and EasyPay payments terminals because of what it described as ‘unequal commission policy’ of the above-mentioned companies in relation to its customers.
No extra commission is charged by other terminals for mobile services payments if the amount is more than 1000 drams. TelCell, Idram and EasyPay charge commissions for Beeline customers’ mobile services only for payments exceeding 10,000 drams.
Beeline said its proposals to work on equal market conditions with other operators (not to charge commission fees for payments 1000 drams and more) were rejected making it take measures to protect its own interests and those of its customers.
Beeline apologized for the inconvenience and said that payments for services (without commission fees) are accepted by its sales offices, banks, at www.beeline.am and Beeline Armenia application.
‘Beeline is working to reach a fair agreement with payment systems. We are open to dialogue and the main task is to ensure equal and fair attitude towards our customers", the telecom operator said.
ArmenTel is entirely owned by VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony services as well as high-speed Internet. ($ 1 - 486.56 drams). -0-
