Armenian ICT sector to present its products in United Kingdom
YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Armenian ICT companies will present their products in the UK on March 9-11, British ambassador to Armenia, Judith Farnworth, told Armenian reporters today. According to her, the initiative is aimed at deepening cooperation between the Armenian and British ICT sectors.
She said the ICT sector, which is growing rapidly and is accounting for a significant share of the country's economy, was chosen after a comprehensive study of the Armenian economy.
“The rich tradition, good workforce and the government’s assistance allow Armenia to become a leading ICT country, while the knowledge-based sector is an important magnet for attracting investments, " she said.
She said that over the past few months, in close cooperation with the Armenian National Centre for the Development of Small and Medium Business, a long-term cooperation program has been developed to make the Armenian IT sector more recognizable in the UK market.
She said a group of British journalists visited Armenia, who later released a series of stories about Armenian ICT sector. As a result 17 ICT companies have been chosen to go to London for direct meetings with potential partners from more than 70 British companies.
The chosen 17 companies are Agnian LLC (web design), AltaCode LLC (developer), ARLOOPA Inc. (developer of virtual reality applications), ARMACAD (education), Buy.am (e-commerce), Incredo LLC (marketing), Anomma LLC (mobile applications), Mer Soft LLC (IT solutions for business), Triada Studio Ltd (videos and animations ), Volo LLC (development programs), CVDS (web design), Cyclop LLC (development programs), Developway CJSC (software development), Eagma Tech LLC (development programs), EarlyOne (personnel and customers management), Energize Global Services ( web design), Help Systems LLC (web design). -0-
