Card transactions via internet rose by 6.9% to 1.7bln drams in Armenia in September
YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. Card transactions processed through the Internet amounted to a total of 1.7 billion drams as of the end of September, an increase of 6.9% compared to August, reads the Central Bank of Armenia monthly information bulleting for September 2014.
Number of card transactions via Internet totalled 135,127, an increase of 5.8% over the month.
Total amount of card transactions through all media was about 108.2 billion drams (3.7% increase) in Armenia; the total number of transactions was 2,125,270 (5% increase).
Card transactions through ATMs amounted to a total of 83.8 billion drams as of the end of September (2.8% increase); the number of transactions was 1,739,386 (5.7% increase).
Card transactions via POS terminals and imprinters amounted to about 22.6 billion drams in the reporting month (7.1% increase); the total number of such transactions was 250,757 (approx. 0.1% increase). ($1=417.13drams). –0--
