DataArt to open R&D and sales office in Armenia
YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. DataArt, a global technology consultancy that designs, develops and supports unique software solutions for finance, tourism, healthcare, media and leisure industries, will open an office in Armenia, Transport, Communications and Information Technology Minister Hakob Arshakyan said today.
The minister wrote in a Facebook post that the first office of the company in Yerevan will combine an R&D center and a sales unit that will focus on the Central Asian markets.
According to him, in Armenia, the company will focus on promoting Quality Assurance (QA - software testing and quality control), developing and promoting software. The company is said to have started hiring specialists to work in the Yerevan office, which is under a major repair.
The office, expected to open in June, will hire at least 30 employees. The minister also said that DataArt board members and co-founder of mail.ru Mikhail and Yulia Zavileysky visited Yerevan with the aim of setting up a company unit in Yerevan and start cooperation with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
