IPO case of Team Telecom Armenia presented to participants of CaseKey student competition

YEREVAN, July 24. / ARKA/. As part of CaseKey 2023 Business Problem Solving Contest a presentation of Team Telecom Armenia IPO case was held for about 200 students from different universities of Armenia who were presented the details of the IPO and were given 72 to find solutions for the company's development.

Team Telecom Armenia CEO  Hayk Yesayan said that the participants of the competition will face a task that has never been set before anyone in Armenia.

"It is important for us that young people have opportunities to express their ideas.  By going public, our company has become fully public. And this is another step to show that we are open and in an open dialog with our shareholders. These young people can become shareholders and tomorrow set tasks for the company to solve," he said.

Yesayan emphasized that based on the results of the contest, the company is ready to attract students to Team.

Prior to the main CaseKey competition, student teams participated in trainings and learned to solve problems of operating businesses for a year. Over 230 students, 30 trainers, 15 universities and educational centers, a number of enterprises from different industries participated in the contest for the last 3 months, and more than 10 courses were held.

Project founder Arshak Karapetyan emphasized the importance of experienced companies giving the youth an opportunity to offer their own vision of strategic business development.

"This is the third year we have been cooperating with Team Telecom Armenia and we are sure that this cooperation has an important place in the process of education and business development in Armenia," he said.

The presentation of the business problem was followed by a panel discussion on IPO opportunities for the economy, company and society.

Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, Arno Mosikyan, Director of Investment Banking at Ameriabank, Hayk Yesayan, CEO of Team Telecom Armenia, Hayk Stepanyan, CEO of Byblos Bank, and Konstantin Saroyan, Secretary General of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges participated in the discussion.

From the solutions to be proposed by 22 participating teams, the best ix ones will be selected and presented on August 6th. -0-
