Rostelecom Armenia launched a number of innovative services in 2023

YEREVAN, December 25. /ARKA /. Rostelecom Armenia completes 2023 with the launch of new services for subscribers, implementation of new strategic projects, network expansion and other achievements.

Armenian users got access to online movie theater and TV application Wink, which is the first of its kind in the local market. The application features more than 50,000 movies, TV series and cartoons, as well as concerts, documentaries, karaoke, bloggers’ educational and entertainment video content.

Wink users have access to the most popular local and foreign terrestrial and thematic TV channels. The fully Armenized Wink video service will soon be included in Rostelecom's Internet and TV packages.

Together with the world leader in cloud gaming, GοForceNow, Rostelecom was the first company in Armenia to launch a cloud gaming service "PowerPlay", opening the world of computer games for all Rostelecom subscribers. Thanks to the "PowerPlay" service, subscribers are able to play the most popular graphic games, turning their computer, smartphone or tablet into a powerful gaming device.

In November, Rostelecom launched the Cloud Video Surveillance service, which allows subscribers to organize round-the-clock surveillance of one’s  home, yard or office. The service provides subscribers with an exclusive opportunity to save data in a secure cloud domain, archive it for up to 14 days, and manage cameras via an application or web version. The cloud video surveillance service has become the next revolutionary step in the development of cloud technology in the market.

This year, the company launched its broadband network in Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan, which allows the residents of this district to use the company's latest technologies. During the next year it is planned to expand the network to new administrative districts.

The year 2023 is also significant because the company has started construction of the largest and most powerful data center in Armenia, which is expected to be launched in spring 2024. This state-of-the-art facility will provide the majority of data management and cloud services in Armenia.

The data center has a capacity of 2.5 MgV in accordance with international TIER III standards and includes 218 server cabinets and the latest cloud technologies, which will provide secure data processing and storage for businesses and government agencies, thus contributing to the development of Armenia's digital future.

Given its strategic importance for the country, the Data Center's investment program was approved by the Armenian government and included in the Infrastructure for Investment program.

True to the policy of corporate social responsibility, Rostelecom Armenia initiated and participated in a number of social and charitable events in 2023.

In particular, the Company took part in the programs of the "City of Smiles" Foundation to support children fighting cancer. Participation in this initiative is annual due to its importance.

Rostelecom took part in the programs of "GENESIS ARMENIA" Research Analytical Center-Foundation and "ReArmenia" NGO, providing support to the compatriots displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the amount of AMD 10 million.

The Company continued supporting the compatriots displaced from Artsakh by launching a special offer "Artsakh", which gave them an opportunity to use the Company's services free of charge for 4 months.

The Company also provided financial support to "Arabkir" United Children's Charity Fund in order to establish a children's rehabilitation center under construction in Meghri.

In the coming years, Rostelecom will continue its policy of introducing innovative solutions and important strategic development projects, thus transforming the technological sector of Armenia. -0-
