Two Armenian start-up companies- SoloLearn and SkyCriptor- to compete for Ukrainian and Estonian venture capital investments
YEREVAN, November 13. / ARKA /. Two Armenian start-up companies- SoloLearn mobile learning platform and SkyCriptor cloud data encoding solution - will be competing for Ukrainian and Estonian venture capital investments in the amount of $30,000-$50,000, the Armenian Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) said today. It said SoloLearn and SkyCriptor have good chances to receive assistance from Ukrainian HappyFarm and Estonian StartupWiseGuys accelerators. EIF said the Armenian companies will first be interview by the potential investors and then travel to Estonia or Ukraine with the assistance of Microsoft Armenia Innovation Center to meet with members of the investment committee. SoloLearn was declared in early October a finalist of Seedstars Yerevan 2014 contest winning the right to take part in the international stage of Seedstars contest in Geneva on the 4th of February 2015. In addition, the Armenian venture firm Granatus Ventures has signed with SoloLearn in late September an agreement whereby it will provide the start-up with $100 thousand and an acceleration support. SoloLearn, founded in June 2013 is a mobile learning platform offering 14 programming, business and photography interactive and gaming applications. It is available for Adnroid, and Windows and has been downloaded already over 350,000 times. SkyCriptor is a cloud-based solution for data encoding and can be used by people without special knowledge and skills of encoding. -0--
