Armenian companies to take part in IT forum in Iran
YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. Armenian companies are to take part in an information technology forum in Iran, Vahan Martirosyan, Armenian transport, communication and information technology minister, told journalists on Wednesday.
«Around 20 Armenian IT companies have already applied for participation in the forum,» he said. «Preparations for the forum are under way now, and therefore we will present all the details a little later.»
The minister said the forum will take place in the fall.
He thinks the Iranian market would be interested in the innovative solutions as well as the programming and IT products offered by Armenian companies.
Vahan Shakaryan, director and founder of Technology and Science Dynamics (TSD) company, on his side, said Armenian companies can use Iranian specialists' experience.
«Iran is demonstrating a significant progress in development of nanotechnologies, and we can use their experience in this area,» he said.
The turnover of Armenia's IT industry amounted to $500 million in 2016. Its average annual growth is 20%. --0---
