'National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week' to be held in Armenia
YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. The "National Week of Innovation and Entrepreneurship" will take place in Armenia, reported INNO Armenia.
The event will be launched on April 17 and will last until April 21. It will be supported by the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the National Center Foundation.
The organizer is the National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NCIE). The venue will be the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
The main feature of the event will be the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Austrian Space Forum on conducting the upcoming Mars analog simulation, AMADEE24.
Armenia has been selected as the host country for the Austrian Space Forum's upcoming Mars analog simulation, AMADEE24, slated for March 2024. The training will take place on a rocky high plateau, which is similar to the surface of Mars, making it an ideal location for the simulation.
The mission aims to test materials, analyze defects in the system, and seek solutions to any issues that may arise.
A crew of six participants, including two women and four men from Austria, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Great Britain, has already been chosen. Anika Mehlis from Germany will be the first woman to lead the mission.
The simulation is expected to attract more than 250 international researchers, making it the largest and most complex Mars simulation of the year. The mission will provide valuable insights into human-robotic surface activities in terrestrial analogs, helping to develop exploration mission architectures and understand the constraints and opportunities of technology and workflows. -0-
