Nikol Pashinyan: it is difficult to compete on global stage without mastering advanced digital tools and technology
YEREVAN, June 21. /ARKA/. Speaking at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council today in Minsk, Belarus, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said it was difficult to compete on the global stage without mastering advanced digital tools and technology.
"We have already managed to launch a number of large-scale digitilization projects, thanks to which economic relations between our countries have become more simple and transparent in terms of evaluation and efficiency," he said.
Pashinyan specifically singled out formation of a system of transport tracking using navigation seals, mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures, as well as cross-border e-commerce, the growth of which presents new challenges and requires effective solutions to such issues as product safety, consumer protection, as well as ensuring the full receipt of taxes and customs revenues.
"Given the absence of common borders with the EEU member states, the digitalization of processes will enable Armenia to save time and material resources. Logistics is another sphere requiring digital solutions," he said.-0-
