Results of ‘smart city’ Hackaton on e-management of garbage removal and condominiums already known
YEREVAN, October 24. /ARKA/. The results of ‘Smart City’, a two-day Hackaton on e-management of garbage removal and condominiums, have already summarized in Yerevan.
As many as 60 programmers, database specialists and web developers have taken part in the contest that lasted 24 hours on October 21 and 22.
According to the press office of Kolba Lab Company, 16 teams were developed their proposals based on garbage removal and housing fund and city economy regulation data throughout 24 hours.
The prize fund - $12,000 - was divided among three winners.
The first price of $5,000 went to Oorban team. The team proposed a system of e-management of condominiums, which allows residents to see how their payments are used and to raise issues related to management of their houses.
The second winner, Datathonk team, received $4,000 for its ‘Smart Garbage Removal’ solution. The team has developed a model of most reasonable routes of garbage-removing vehicles, which also makes it possible to determine maximally optimal deployment of garbage cans.
The third winner, Smart Space team, received $3,000 for its instrument for monitoring living standards in Yerevan communities. The instrument uses housing stock and garbage removal data and maps the most polluted areas and the cleanest areas.
‘Smart City’ Hackaton is a joint project of the Yreevan municipality, the European Union and the UNDP, which is being implemented as part of the EU-financed and Kolba Lab-implemented program ‘Innovative Process’ in Armenia. --0----
