“ArmenTel” got connected to the fifth international communication channel from Armenia
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. CJSC “ArmenTel” (trade mark Beeline) announces about the connection to international communication channel of telecommunication company TeliaSonera.
The new direction became the fifth independent way providing the company “ArmenTel” access to Internet. The highway passes to Eastern Europe via territory of Georgia.
“ArmenTel” is the leader in telecommunication market of Armenia due to responsible approach to the provision of stable work of communication services. Diversification of external highways will increase the capacity and independence level of infrastructure of unified operator and serve basis for new proposals in the sphere of communication and Internet access”, said General Director of CJSC “ArmenTel” Igor Klimko.
As of October 13, 2010 the company “ArmenTel” uses five mutually spaced communication channels. Highway lines of the company pass through neighbor countries – Georgia and Iran.
“ArmenTel” became the first operator of telecommunication services in Armenia connected to European highway Internet connection (
backbone) via “Caucasus Cable System”. Partners of the company are also operators “Sovintel”, SilkNet and “Rostelecom”.
CJSC “ArmenTel” is an affiliate of the company “VimpelCom” (trade mark Beeline) since April 2007. 100% of shares of “ArmenTel” belong to Russian company. “ArmenTel” provides services of fixed and mobile services, as well as broad-band Internet access in Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. —0--
