ArmenTel Hi-Line service now available in 57 towns across Armenia
YEREVAN, August 24. / ARKA /. ArmenTel telecommunications company (trading as Beeline) has expanded the geography of broadband Hi-Line Internet access , which is now available in 57 towns across Armenia, the press service of the company said.
This service is now available in Bambakashate, Malishka, Mrgashat, Nalbandian, Panik, Sarnahpyur, Chambarak (Gegharkunik region), as well as in the villages of Armavir and Tavush. This year ArmenTel has doubled the number of locations in which the service is available.
ArmenTel CEO, Igor Klimko, was quoted as saying in a press release that investments in wired infrastructure and its modernization are based on ArmenTel’s desire ‘to provide the population of regions not only with secure fixed connection, but also high-quality Internet.’
In late June 2011 the company said it had already 100,000 subscribers to Hi-Line. ArmenTel is a 100% subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom (trading as Beeline) providing fixed and mobile phone communications, as well as high-speed Internet access. -0-
