Centralized Information Base Of Pension System To Be Fully Introduced In Armenia In 2012 – Minister

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. In 2012 the centralized information base of pension system will be fully introduced in Armenia, said Armenian Minister of Social Welfare Artur Grigoryan.

“Due to it, the degree of data accuracy regarding pensioners will be increased”, said Grigoryan in the budget hearings in the Armenian Parliament. He said that the data of other state systems and structures will be replenished in the centralized base in automated regime which will exclude any corruption risks in data collection.

“Quite new information database of pensions should be formed containing renewed data”, he said. Data on pensioners living outside Armenia or dead pensioners will be provided by relevant state structures, summarized and eliminated from the database.

In 2012 it is planned to develop a system of introduction of pension accounts which will be tested in 2013. “Activities will be conducted on the introduction of the system of personalized registration of income tax and accumulative payments which from January 1, 2013 will provide the customized reports on income tax in electronic format”, said Grigoryan.

Relevant sub-laws providing implementation of pension reforms will be developed, the works of elimination of corruption risks and quality increase of rendered services will continue.

In 2012, the size of the main pension from current 10.5 thousand drams will be increased by about 13 thousand drams. In its result, average size of social pension will increase by about 20% to 16.5 thousand drams instead of 13.2 thousand drams. The size of working pension will increase by 9% making 31.2 thousand drams instead of 28.7 thousand drams.

Draft state budget of Armenia for 2012 plans to allocate 307.3 billion drams to the sphere of social security which makes 29.4% of total budget expenses vs. 271.9 billion drams in 2011 (27.2% of budget expenses). Growth, compared to the budget for 2011 will be 35.4 billion drams (about 13%). ($1 – 380.47 drams). –0—
