Some 46,013 internet payments made in October by using ArCa cards
YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. ArCa Armenian payment system said 46,013 Internet payments were made in October 2011, including payments of utility bills, by using ArCa cards, which was by 66.7% more than in 2010.
The amount of these transactions totaled 369.2 million drams, which was by 12.4% more than in the same period of time last year.
ATMs were used to make 23,073 non-cash transactions worth 404 million drams, which was by 4,600% more than in the same time span of last year. During the period under review some 4,902 car-to-card transfers were made by using ArCA cards worth 408 million drams, by 34.9% more from a year earlier.
Armenian Card CJSC was established on March 16, 2000 as a united national payment system.
Today 19 of Armenia’s 21 commercial banks participate in ArCa payment system.
The company is a full member of MasterCard Europe international payment system. It also processes VISA and American Express (Third Party Processor) cards. ($1 – 382.89 drams). -0-
