App Armenia mobile application first in App Store for number of downloads
YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. App Armenia mobile application, a joint product of Beeline and the Technology Development Center, is first in App Store for the largest number of downloads from Armenia, the press office of ArmenTel, trading as Beeline, reported on Wednesday.
App Armenia platform and application were launched on December 20, 2014, and it has scored 11,000 downloads since then - 50% from App Store and 50% from Google Play.
App Armenia mobile application makes it possible to use a wide range of mobile content. There are more than 200 other applications, 730 inboxes, 810 ringtones and 410 sound notification files in the mobile application system.
«It is already can be said that our joint project with the Technology Development Center is successful,» said Beeline CEO Andrey Pyatakhi. «The record number of downloads over one month alone and positive notes from users of the application is the best reward for our work, and we are happy that we added something to improvement of users' living styles thanks to our new product.»
Samvel Chakhalyan, head of the Technology Development Center, on his side, said that App Armenia's start was successful.
The number of downloads, he said, shows that App Armenia has already become an actual instrument of development of the mobile application area in Armenia.
«Further improvement will continue, and in the next months we'll concentrate our attention on filling Armenian- language content with high-quality photos and audio records among other things,» Chakhalyan said.
App Armenia system consists of two general parts – Web and Mobile. Web is www.app.am website, which allows users to display own posters and audio files here after necessary registration. Mobile application makes it possible to use all the content of www.app.am from smartphones. The mobile application is fit for phones based on Android and iOS. It can be downloaded to Play Store and App Store. App Armenia project is aimed at development of Armenian-language mobile content.
