Armenia has taken road of digitization of court motions
YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia passed Wednesday at the first reading amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, according to which the prosecutor general’s office, as well as investigators conducting the proceedings, will be able to file a motion to the court in electronic form.
Under the current law, applications must be submitted in papers. If the project is accepted, investigators and investigating authorities when submitting applications will be able to simply send separate fragments from previously scanned cases and not load employees by copying and delivering documents to the courts.
The relevance of this project is also confirmed by the fact that the state spent a lot of money on providing courts with computer equipment, which is currently used only for printing.
At the moment, the government is also developing all the necessary mechanisms to exclude any possibility of leakage of secret information, in particular, the investigator is responsible for this. -0-
