Armenia’s ambulance service equipped with analytical information system
YEREVAN, August 1. /ARKA/. An analytical information system was launched at Armenia’s ambulance service on Thursday.
All 172 ambulance vehicles are now equipped with tablets made in Armenia, and doctors have the chance to get detailed information about patients before reaching the place, Armenia’s minister of healthcare Armen Muradyan said at the presentation. Apart from this, an electronic form is filled in upon each call to be sent to the database, he said.
Regular training courses have been delivered to the ambulance staffs along with introduction of the new system, the minister said.
A new web portal, www.1-03.am, has been presented during the event. The website provides detailed information on activities of the ambulance service.
Project manager at Locator cjsc Sevak Minasyan said the newly installed GPS system enables the dispatch center following up where the ambulance is and its status (‘free’, ‘on call’, ‘on way back’, and etc.), as well as the quantity of fuel.
The program was implemented as part of the ambulance support project, together with USAID. –0--
