Armenia’s diplomatic staff abroad start online voting at parliamentary election
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Employees of Armenia’s Embassies and Consulates as well as the members of their families can vote online at the parliamentary elections on May 6 since Friday, Armenia’s Central Election Commission head Tigran Mukuchyan said.
“Online voting will be conducted for the first time, it will start on April 27 at 08:00 and will end on May 1 at 20:00,” ARKA quotes Mukuchyan.
Electoral lists are available for anyone on the website. Each constituent will be provided with a special secret code which will be required for completing electronic form at the time of voting.
Very soon online voting is expected to refer not only to diplomatic figures and their families, but also other citizens of Armenia, who live abroad.
In compliance with the Article 60 of Armenia’s Electoral Code, the constituents who work in diplomatic or consulate representations of Armenia as well as the members of their families who have a franchise and live outside of Armenia should vote online at the elections within the terms established by the Central Election Commission.
On its side, Central Election Commission should ensure secret and fair voting.--0--
