Armenia’s national archives has digitized 900,000 documents
YEREVAN, March 20. / ARKA /. Armenia’s National Archives has digitized approximately 900,000 documents, its director, Amatuni Virabian, said today.
He said all these documents are stored in an electronic database and anyone could find information about them by typing key words in search engines, but in order to read the documents he/she will have to visit the National Archives building, he said.
He said the number of digitized documents is expected to exceed 1 million this year. Currently, the National Archives has over 4 million documents. The oldest of them are from the early 19th century. -0 –
