YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Websites of Armenian embassies all over the world have been attacked by Azerbaijani hackers ahead of the 16 anniversary of Armenian pogroms in Baku, Samvel Martirosyan, a cyber security specialist, reported Wednesday on his website.
“Azerbaijani images are already removed from the websites,” he said. “Now not a single embassy website is available now.”
Martirosyan posted a list of 46 attacked websites of Armenian embassies, including embassies in the United States, Russia, Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Vatican, India, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkmenistan, the Great Britain, Ukraine and Egypt, as well as websites of Armenia’s permanent delegations in the Council of Europe, the European Union, OSCE, NATO and UNO.
“This is the first serious assault on the Armenian government network since 2009,” Martirosyan says. ---0---
