Armenian users exposed to web attacks is steadily declining, according to Kaspersky Lab
YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. The share of Armenian users subjected to web attacks is steadily declining, according to a study by Kaspersky Lab.
According to the study, in the third quarter of 2020, the share of Armenian users exposed to attacks via the Internet (web attacks) was 4.95%, in Georgia - 6.06%. During the same period, about 4.89% of computer users were subjected to such attacks in Azerbaijan.
In April-June of the same year, 5.6% of users in Armenia faced web attacks, in Georgia - 7.99% (12th in the world), and in Azerbaijan - 6.5% of users. In the third quarter of 2019, in Armenia this figure was more than 11.8%, in Georgia - almost 10.3%, and in Azerbaijan - 12.7%.
As noted in the study, in July-September 2020, users in Vietnam (8.69%), Bangladesh (7.34%) and Latvia (7.32%) were subjected to the most attacks over the Internet.
On average, during the third quarter of 2020, 4.58% of computers of Internet users in the world were subjected to a Malware-class web attack at least once, and in April-June this figure was 5.73%.
To protect against web attacks, experts recommend that users remain vigilant when downloading content, especially from unofficial sources, and be careful when visiting various sites on the Internet. It is also highly recommended to use a reliable antivirus solution with a web module, which prevents the download of malicious objects from infected web pages for proper Internet security. --0--
