ArmenTel and Eurasia university announce winner of IT contest
YEREVAN, May 20. / ARKA /. ArmenTel telecommunications company (trading as Beeline) and Eurasia International University’s College have announced today the results of an essay contest titled 'Information Technology in My Life' they had announced earlier saying they have selected three winners from more than 100 participants.
The winners, Nane Galstyan, Aida Karapetyan and Sona Hovhannisyan, were awarded with Beeline Smart phones. Lida Kocharyan, whose paper collected the largest number of 'likes' on Eurasia University's official page in Facebook was awarded the incentive prize.
ArmenTel CEO, Andrei Pyatakhin was quoted as saying in a company's press release that
this competition, conducted with the support of Beeline, provided schoolchildren in Yerevan and outside it with the opportunity to present their ideas on modern information technology related to education.
Suren Ohanyan, the rector of Eurasia University, said given the interest shown by schools in the contest, they will make it annual to involve more school students.
The contest is designed for middle and high school students. It was conducted with the assistance of the ministry of education and science. -0-
