Azerbaijani hackers are breaking the Facebook profiles of some Armenian users - NSS

YEREVAN, October 7. /ARKA/. The National Security Service of Armenia reports that Azerbaijani hackers are breaking the Facebook profiles of some Armenian users. With their help, they spread different statements, provoke contradictions, try to split the Armenian society and sow panic.

As the press service of the NSS notes, in particular, on the hacked profiles "Armenian Style", "Երևան-Հայաստան", "Armenian Realty" and others, openly false information about military actions is published, which forms negative feelings in society, materials and photographs, as well as false statement about a collection planned for October 8th.

In addition, there are cases when the enemy, through special programs and from phone numbers similar to Armenian, conducts "opinion polls" in order to thereby be informed about the situation in Armenia as much as possible. Panic-inducing messages are distributed in the same way.

"The NSS urges not to succumb to the adversary's incitement, not to answer false calls for the purpose of a public opinion poll, not to believe the data obtained by the above method and refrain from disseminating them, to be vigilant and only follow official sources of information," the message says.

War in Artsakh

On September 27, at 07:10, Azerbaijani troops launched an offensive along the entire length of the contact line in Artsakh, but were thrown back in several directions. Intense fighting continues in the south, southeast and north of the front line. Turkey joined the aggression. Residential areas are being shelled as well. 

The Azerbaijani side suffered losses in manpower (more than 3,454 people killed and around 5,000 wounded) and equipment, in particular, 220 UAVs, 3 units of TOS – 1A, 4 Smerch and Uragan MLRS, more than 368 tanks and other armored vehicles, 16 helicopters and 17 aircraft. According to the data of the defense ministry of Armenia and Artsakh, more than 220 Armenian servicemen were killed and hundreds wounded on the Armenian side. Also 21 civilians were killed and 82 wounded on the Armenian side. 

Armenia informed the international community, including the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, about the aggression by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, also about the shelling of peaceful settlements.

Martial law and general mobilization were declared in Artsakh and Armenia. -0-
