Cyber attackers pose threat to each third internet user in Armenia – Kaspersky Lab
YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. Kaspersky Lab says 30% of Armenian users were put at risk of infection in Inernet in the first six months of this year.
Each of them was exposed to at least 11 web threats, on average.
These data has been received by using Kaspersky Security Network cloud infrastructure that unites millions of users of Kaspersky Lab protection products and allows receiving information about current cyber threats in the real time.
The Kaspersky Lab office in Armenia says in its report that the use of the static and mobile devises connected to the Network, such as PC, Mac, smatrphone and tablet, is full of cyber threats.
Cyber attackers have many types of harmful instruments at their disposal that give them access to gadgets to steal money and personal information of their owners.
But even if the device has no access to Internet, the infection risk remains high.
The harmful software can penetrate into a computer, for example though removable drivers.
Such a kind of infection called local is posing threat to users in Armenia as well.
Devices of 61% users have been exposed to this threat since the beginning of this year, and 22 threats, on average, have been found out.
“The number of harmful software is constantly growing from day to day, and they are becoming more complicated and powerful,” said Armen Karapetyan, official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Armenia.
“Displaying negligence and by performing incautious actions many users are being re-directed to malicious routes. They are also open messages from unknown senders running such a risk of letting one of many viruses in their computers and putting valuable data at risk.”
Karapetyan said that reliable solutions can protect computers from cyber threats. --0----
