Director of Iunetworks company Alexander Yesayan elected as new chairman of UITE
YEREVAN, May 22. / ARKA /. Director of IUNETWORKS company Alexander Yesayan was elected as new chairman of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE). The election took place on Friday during the 15th annual congress of the Union in Aghveran. Yesayan was backed by 35 of 36 full members of UITE.
Three other people also contesting for the position withdrew candidates before the vote. Yesayan has replaced Hovhannes Avoyan, who served as chairman of the Union for 16 years.
The Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia (UITE) was founded in 2000 to protect the economic interests of IT companies, stimulate their development and promote research in the field of IT.
IUNETWORKS was established in 2008. It deals with supplying telecommunications equipment to telecom providers, state and corporate clients.-0-
