Internet attacks on Armenian users weakened, according to Kaspersky lab
YEREVAN, December 18. /ARKA/. Internet attacks on Armenian users have weakened, according to a study by Kaspersky Lab experts.
According to the study, in the third quarter of 2019 more than 11.8% of users were attacked via the Internet in Armenia. In Georgia, almost 10.3% of users were attacked and more than 12% in Azerbaijan.
“This indicator has decreased in all three countries, down from 15.4% in the second quarter in Armenia, 14.2% in Georgia, and 16.6% in Azerbaijan. In July -September 2019, Tunisian users suffered the most attacks via the Internet - 23.3%," the study said.
According to the study, the percentage of users attacked by local threats has also decreased: from 33.5% in the second quarter to 29.5% in the third one in Armenia. In n Georgia, these figures were 26.6% and 22, 5%, and in Azerbaijan - 39.2% and 34.7%, respectively. In July-September 2019, 53.5% of users in Afghanistan faced attempts of being infected with local threats.
Given the activity of hackers, experts recommend using a reliable antivirus software with a web module that prevents malicious objects from downloading from infected web pages.
"In order to protect themselves from local threats, users should always check removable devices with antivirus software. They should also disable the function of files automatic downloading from removable devices on their computers, while corporate users should take full responsibility for the physical security of devices and establish proper control over connected devices," the study says. –0—
