Internet transactions in July amounted to 2.1 billion drams, 5.6% increase compared to June
YEREVAN, September 9. / ARKA /. The amount of Internet transactions made by using payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks in Armenia amounted to 2.1 billion drams in late July, a 5.6% increase compared to June, according to the July issue of the regulator’s monthly bulletin.
At the same time, the total number of Internet transactions amounted to 141,366, an increase of 2.05 percent over the last month.
The overall amount of transactions made by using payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks for all kinds of services in the territory of Armenia in July 2014 amounted to about 112.8 billion drams (a 14.1% growth), while the total number of transactions amounted to 2,164,374 (an increase of 5.1%).
At the same time, the amount of transactions made by payment cards via ATMs reached 88.5 billion drams (a 14.6% rise), while the total number of transactions amounted to 1,766,561 (an increase of 4 9%).
According to the Central Bank, the amount of transactions by payment cards through POS-terminals and imprinters in July amounted to about 22.2 billion drams (a 12.9% growth ), while the total number of transactions amounted to 256,447 (an increase of 8.1% ). ($ 1 - 409.7 drams). -0-
