YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. The number of users in Armenia subjected to web attacks in 2020 decreased by almost 7% from the previous year, according to a study by Kaspersky Lab. According to it,
some 10.50% of users in Armenia in 2020 were attacked via the Internet (web attacks). A year earlier, this figure was 17.34%.

The company's experts note that the decline is due to the increased use of reliable security solutions and the spread of cyber literacy among users.
In 2020, Tunisia (18.27%), Algeria (16.42%) and Mongolia (15.94%) were the most affected countries by web attacks.
In 2020, 10.18% of computers of Internet users in the world were subjected to a Malware-class web attack at least once, up from 19.8% a year earlier.
Experts point out that a robust antivirus with web module protects users from downloading malicious objects from a malicious/infected web page, deliberately created by hackers.
They are also trying to hack more legitimate resources and inject malicious scripts and software for various purposes - hidden cryptocurrency miners, ransomware downloaders, software to steal personal and bank data. Web resources with content created by users (for example, forums), can also be infected. –0--
