Rostelecom intends to offer services based on new technologies in 2015

YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. Rostelecom intends to introduce services based on new technologies in 2015, GNC-ALFA” CJSC CEO Hayk Faramazyan told journalists in Tsakhkadzor on Tuesday.

In his words, the next year the company will pay special attention to expansion of the range of the services it is already providing to its clients and to introduction of technological novelties.

Faramazyan said that the company's network covers almost 80% of high blocks in Yerevan. The company is also going to provide its services also to the private sector.

Besides, the company has completed the program of creation of the 'Optics to Every Apartment' network in 19 cities of Armenia, has increased the number of its service offices to 26 and built up the number of its clients 2.5 times to 26,000.

«Now the company's network ensures coverage of 50% of Armenia's population,» the GNC-ALFA CEO said. «Since our technology is intended for apartment blocks, we already have our key segment in Yerevan and are ready to introduce systems in other cities of the country. »

He said that in 2014 the company completed construction of a 40GB/sec network in Yerevan, which provides seamless and high-speed access to Internet here, modernized its call-center and expand the system of payment for services by reaching agreements with the main banks of the country.

«We have also improved our portal and are planning to launch it soon, and people will be able to register their names for receiving the company's services thanks to this modernization,» Faramazyan said.

He stressed that the company will expand and improve its television services in 2015 and intends to make considerable investments in this segment of its activity.

The company also implements social and educational projects, providing Internet to education establishments and free Wi-Fi to parks.

This year Rostelecom decided to spend the money intended for a New Year corporate party on gifts for six children's houses in Armenia.

GNC-ALFA CJSC, Armenian subsidiary of Russia’s Rostelecom, started selling telecommunication services in December 2012 under Rostelecom brand. In late 2012, it offered super-speed Internet as well as IP television and telephony services to clients.
