Russian ambassador to Armenia calls on compatriots' organizations for larger presence in media space
YERVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin, speaking Sunday at the eighth conference of Russian compatriots in Armenia, called Russians living in Armenia to appear more frequently in media space. He said there are positive examples of the compatriots’ communication with the media some organizations are present in social networks. “But this is not enough – efforts to demonstrate their activities to public should be system-based,” the ambassador said. “I am calling for compatriots to think over an opportunity to create full-featured websites of organizations or a joint website of the Coordination Council. Your positive work, about which we know, should be visible to everybody.” The conference is organized by the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots' Nongovernmental Organizations in the Republic of Armenia with support from Russia's embassy in Armenia and the Russian Science and Culture Center in Armenia. Some 15 nongovernmental and youth organizations are taking part in the conference. ----0-----
