Social networks have captured all the types of human activities
YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. Social networks have captured all the types of human activities, Samvel Martirosyan, a cyber security specialist, told ARKA News Agency.
In recent days, Facebook posted its third quarter analytic report. According to the report, the number of accounts in Facebook rose by 60 million over the quarter, the number of everyday active users exceeded one billion and the number of monthly users is more than 1.5 billion.
Some 894 million mobile users visit Facebook every day, and about 1.4 billion mobile users visit it every month.
Latest surveys show that users post their own unique content rarer now than before preferring to like other users' photos.
“The network is increasingly capturing all the types of human activities,” Martirosyan said. “An average user already visit Facebook for posting personal information and for receiving news.”
The cyber specialists also said that Facebook builds new blocs inside it, which oust blogs and websites and, in fact, create an alternative Internet inside the network.
He thinks that there is nothing abnormal in this trend and that any monopoly in any area is not the most positive phenomenon.
In October, the number of Facebook users in Armenia reached 860,000, of which 660,000 visit the network via their mobiles.
Facebook is used in Armenia as one of the source of information, since unlike other countries' users, Armenian users, not often visit media resources and news portals. Search engines, such as Yandex-Novosti or Google News are not popular in the country.
Facebook replaces everything to Armenians, and this makes Armenian media resources heavily dependent on this social network.
Odnoklassniki and V Kontakte are popular in Armenia as well. ---0----
