Third international forum of business innovations slated for November 13-14 in Dilijan
YEREVAN, November 6. / ARKA /. The third international forum of business innovations will take place in the Armenian resort town of Dilijan November 13-14, Karen Vardanyan, the executive director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), told journalists today. He said the participants of the gathering will look into Armenia’s opportunities to become one of the 20 most innovative countries by 2018.
Vardanyan said both local and international experience in entrepreneurship, attraction of young people and increasing the awareness of Armenia in the global IT sector will be presented at the gathering.
"Armenia has a large capacity in the IT field, which must be presented properly. To this end, last year we developed the concept Why Armenia? This concept represents us as a country of «surprise engineering» with creative and unexpected engineering solutions characterized by high technological level and adapted to the customer needs,’ he said.
Among main speakers at the forum will be also foreign experts, including Elena Donets, a leading Israeli businesswoman, the executive director of the Center for the Development of Innovative Entrepreneurship of the University of Tel Aviv.
The main themes of the forum this year are innovative ecosystem, innovation and education and innovation and entrepreneurship. The forum will be attended by about 200 representatives of local and foreign IT companies, business organizations and associations, government bodies, consulting companies, educational institutions and diplomats.
The event is held under the high patronage of the Prime Minister of Armenia. The main sponsor of the forum is the company BetConstruct.
The first international forum of business innovations took place in Dilijan from 29 November to 1 December in 2013. -0-
