Yerevan ranked fifth among 100 cities in e-governance rating
YEREVAN, January 27. /ARKA/. Yerevan came fifth among 100 cities in the e-governance ranking of Rutgers University – Newark in New Jersey, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan told journalists on Tuesday.
In his words, specialists at the E-Governance Institute of the university have looked through websites of 100 cities' municipalities. In composing this rating, they took into account confidentiality, user-friendliness, services and civil and social involvement.
The deputy mayor stressed that Yerevan was ranked first for user-friendliness, third for civil and social involvement degree, fourth for content and eighth for services.
«In the previous ranking issued in 2012, Yerevan was placed 19th, and everything is being done to improve our city's positions,» Nikoyan said.
Only Seoul (1st), New York (2nd), Hong Kong (3rd) and Singapore (4rd) ranked higher than Yerevan. --0--
