New postage stamp dedicated to theme “Goris – CIS cultural capital” put into circulation
YEREVAN, July 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national postal operator HayPost said on July 27th a postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Goris - CIS cultural capital” was into circulation. The postage stamp with the face value of 330 AMD was printed by “Cartor” printing house in France with the print-run of 30,000 pcs. The stamp’s design was made by HayPost designer David Dovlatyan.
The postage stamp with the face of 330 dram depicts the city of Goris, which was declared as CIS cultural capital for 2018 and photographed from above. The postage stamp also depicts the logo of “Goris - CIS cultural capital”, which includes the cliffs with caves of Goris, red roofs, arched windows and a bell, which is part of the monument symbolizing the entrance of the city.
The postage stamp was cancelled by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technology Armen Arzumanyan, Deputy Minister of Culture Nazeni Gharibyan, Deputy Mayor of Goris Menua Hovsepyan, the Managing Director of HayPost Trust Management B.V. Juan Pablo Gechidjian, President of the Union of Philatelists of Armenia Hovik Musayelyan. -0-
