Armenian children to exchange ideas in Hackathon [YAN] Childhood – 2015
YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/. Armenian children will exchange ideas in Hackathon [YAN] Childhood – 2015 innovative ideas contest on December 12 and 13, the press office of ArmenTel (Beeline brand), which is partner of the event, reported on Monday.
“Beeline, as a socially responsible operator, supported this year many programs which contribute to development of entrepreneurship eco system and encourage young people to build their future by using digital technologies,” Andery Pyatakhin, Beeline CEO in Armenia, is quoted in the press release.
Stressing the importance of digital innovation projects, he expressed confidence that some of the presented ideas will become significant phenomena in technology area.
This year Microsoft Innovative Center will pay special attention to teams which propose cloud solutions for small and medium enterprises.
In particular, one or two teams proposing ideas and solutions that ease daily routine of small- and mid-scale businesses will receive 400,000 drams from the Center as a prize with a chance to use the Center’s resources for putting their ideas into practice.
Teams made up of programmers and amateurs will be creating prototypes/ demo versions of their web and mobile applications.
All those who have good teams, who have developed innovative solutions for local or international problems, who want to improve their skills and who want to take part in the
Microsoft Innovation Center’s acceleration program and get help in developing their ideas may compete in the contest.
Seminars will be held as part of the contest. Founders of successful startup companies will share their experience with newcomers.
Two teams to be chosen by Microsoft Innovation Center for participation in its acceleration program for startups.
Two-to-five-member teams having notebooks may apply for participation in the contest.
To apply for the Hakacthon [YAN] they need to fill out the form and describe their projects and teams. The deadline is December 4.
Hackathon [YAN] is in its fifth year in Armenia. This contest gathers young specialists for exchange of ideas and digital technologies. Some of ideas appeared in the course of the contests have already become startup technologies which are successfully applied at the market.
