Armenian president hands prizes to participants of Sevan Startup Summit 2018

YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian handed Friday in his residence special prizes to three teams that have taken part in Sevan StartUp Summit 2018, the presidential pres office reports.
 
This summer the president attended the Sevan StartUp Summit 2018 closing ceremony. He promised then that a new prize, the Prize of the President of Armenia, will be added to the existing 120 prizes.  

SuperAnnotate AI won the contest and received AMD 5-million as first prize. 

YOLO and Sense2beat, the teams that came second and third in the contest, have received incentive prizes. 

Congratulating the organizers and participants of Sevan StartUp Summit, Armen Sarkissian expressed hope that they will continue their activities and will be presented at international levels. 

”Time has come to launch a startup in Silicon Valley,” the presidents said. “Of course, 120 teams is a great number, but I hope for participation of 1,200 teams the next years. This is really excellent idea and project. Many young people take their first steps with your assistance and they will achieve great successes.”

Hakob Hakobyan, founder of Startup Armenia Foundation, on his side, said that the foundation is ready to do more to see Armenia on the world innovative map. --0---
