Breedge and Secos win Armenian national stage of Imagine Cup contest
YEREVAN, May 11. /ARKA/. Young programmers from Breedge and Secos teams have been named the winners of the national stage of the Imagine Cup contest getting the opportunity to compete for a prize of $100,000, Microsoft in Armenia reported.
It said the jury evaluated the uniqueness of the projects, innovative technological solutions and the ability of teams to adequately defend their projects.
The Breedge team, representing the American University of Armenia and the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University, has developed a career success platform for young talents, providing the necessary tools to effectively search for employers and students. Breedge helps companies attract, evaluate and hire suitable students for their companies that fit their corporate culture.
The project of the Secos is an intelligent garbage can. Its application has a map in which bunkers are located. The application creates the most optimal route from which all bunkers are emptied so that time and fuel are stored.
"The Imagine Cup contest is an excellent opportunity for young programmers to demonstrate their IT projects, which can develop into successful start-ups," Levon Hovhannisyan, a jury member said.
The teams will defend their software developments during the CIS final, which will be held in Minsk, Belarus, on May 19, 2018. The winners of this stage will go to the international final in the United States.
Partners of the contest in Armenia were the venture fund smartgate.vc and Microsoft Innovation Center, which helped the teams prepare for participation in the competition and improve their presentation skills.
Imagine Cup is the world's largest international annual technology competition, organized by Microsoft with the support of other companies.-0-
