EU-funded Startup Boost Weekend Vol4 for university students kicks off in Yerevan
YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. The contest Startup Boost Weekend Vol4 kicked off in the Yerevan State University on Friday. Some 120 students from various countries, including Greece, France, India and China, are taking part in the event.
Three teams with the best ides will receive €500, €350 and €200 as money prizes.
International Aid/Cooperation Officer of the EU Delegation to Armenia Stanislav Toshkov said that the ecosystem of startups in Armenia is growing from year to year and the European Union will keep supporting them. He said that many of Armenian startups have reached the international level.
It is the fourth time the Startup Boost Weekend Vol4 is being held in Armenia.
Bridge Startup, which was the contest’s winner in 2017, is operating now, and it has become a partner of the event.
In 2017, three beginner companies have received USD 40,000. Good projects are sent to the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and the American University of Armenia for passing the incubation program. -0---
