HopShop and Text'n Pay Me startups to represent Armenia at Entrepreneurship World Cup

YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/.  Two startups - HopShop and Text'n Pay Me - will represent Armenia at the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) international competition, the Ministry of High Technology Industry said.

The finals of the national qualifying stage took place at the American University of Armenia on August 13th and the jury selected these two startups for the EWC.  Only 12 of more than 100 startups that took part in the national stage made it to the final.

The jury consisted of David Sahakyan, Deputy Minister of Hi-Tech Industry, Hayk Margaryan, CEO of National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Christian Schellenberger, owner and CEO of Schellenberger Ventures GmbH, Karen Gulbudaghyan, founder of Strategic Value Ventures, Ashot Tonoyan, executive director of Service Titan Armenian branch.

 "Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) will take place on August 15 of this year. It is one of the world's largest competitions of startups, with more than 370,000 entrepreneurs from over 200 countries participating.

EWC was first held in 2019 by the Misk Global Forum and the Global Entrepreneurship Network with the support of the Global Education and Leadership Foundation.

All global finalists get access to the EWC Accelerates program, where they can take advantage of mentors and the best startups become members of the GEN Starters Club. --0--
