Netflix to shoot 12-episode film about Armenia's IT sector
YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of High Technology Industry Hakob Arshakyan met today with representatives of the team, who are shooting a film about the Armenian startup ecosystem.
Producer and project coordinator Rafael Tadevosyan and Artur Aloyan spoke about what has been done so far.
Tadevosyan noted that the decision to present the achievements of the Armenian technological sphere to the world this way is not accidental, because the film will be presented on the Netflix platform, which in 2020 recorded an audience growth of 300% and a multi-million audience of TV viewers.
The 12-episode film called “Musk Factor” will tell the story of four boys who have achieved incredible success through a seemingly unrealistic idea, using the power of artificial intelligence.
Tadevosyan said the script has already been approved by Netflix producers and the shooting is expected to start in the near future. The theme has been inspired by the late Karen Vardanyan, a pioneer in Armenia’s high-tech industry, who was s the executive director of the Union of Advanced Technologies Companies (UATE) from 2007 to July 2020. -0--
