Orion Summit slated for June 22 in Yerevan

YEREVAN, May 24. /ARKA/.  Five main topics will be discussed at Orion Summit 2022, which is slated for June 22 in Yerevan, including the one on mergers and achievements  (M&A) as a means to accelerate growth and development of Armenian startups ecosystem.

The organizers of the Orion Summit said the goal is to achieve international influence through M&A, to contribute to Armenia's GDP growth, and to create a model of success for other emerging markets. Armenia's startups ecosystem has about 2,500 registered companies, which is a good basis for market consolidation and creation of more unicorn companies.

Combined or consolidated companies in the global market can be more competitive, the organizers of the summit said in a press release.

Arsen Babayan, CTO of Adobe-Yerevan, will present the experience of this global giant, which is rapidly growing through mergers and acquisitions. Adobe is an international brand of consumer software. Its most popular products are Photoshop, Acrobat, and Creative Cloud.

Over the decades, Adobe acquired several companies, which expanded the company's portfolio, allowing it to compete in new markets, develop businesses in the field of digital media and digital marketing. Representatives from other leading companies around the world will present their observations on mergers and acquisitions: Kamo Karapetyan, director of EY-Armenia Tax Services; Diana Arzumanyan, co-founder of Orion Worldwide Innovations Armenia; and others.

The panel discussion will be followed by the opening of the Mergers and Acquisitions Fair titled "Fostering Market Growth in Armenia". Armenian companies, participants of the BAJ Accelerator program, will present their M&A plans.
