Second Startup Europe Week 2017 kicks off in Armenia
YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. The second Startup Europe Week 2017 kicked off at the Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center (ISTC) in Yerevan on February 9. The event is a joint initiative of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and ISTC. The goal is to help create favorable environment for start-ups.
EIF head Bagrat Yengibaryan told ARKA that the importance of the event is that it provides an effective platform for discussing new projects of successful IT-companies.
"Besides, it is important that we have established a common network with Europe, allowing us to exchange information . This kind of events should be used as effectively as possible to help the greater number of Armenian IT companies to enter foreign markets," Yengibaryan said.
"We need to take advantage of EU instruments, including the existing network for the development of start-ups in our country", he added.
The main topics of Startup Europe Week 2017 are new initiatives, startup ecosystem in Armenia, grant programs for innovation and business development, social entrepreneurship and state support.
The globally-held event is the initiative of the Startup Europe / European Commission. -0-
