SoloLearn, SkyCriptor and ggTaxi named winners of #ArmeniaFTW innovations and entrepreneurship contest of start-ups
YEREVAN, November 12. / ARKA /. SoloLearn mobile learning platform, SkyCriptor cloud data encoding solution and ggTaxi mobile on-line application for taxi reservation were named the winners of #ArmeniaFTW innovations and entrepreneurship international contest of start-ups in Armenia’s second largest town of Gyumri, the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) said today in a statement. The event hosted by the Gyumri Technology Center on November 8-9, was attended by representatives of various international venture capital funds and investment companies examining chances for investing in Armenia. The competition attracted 15 Armenian start-up companies which presented their ideas and programs to representatives of American, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, English, German and Armenian venture funds. The winners will get one million drams each from EIF and Phillip Morris Armenia to implement and commercialize their ideas. The forum was organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship ArmeniaFTW, Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia, Public Journalism Club, EIF, the Gyumri Technology Center, Microsoft and Philip Morris Armenia, the Armenian government and USAID with the support of the US Embassy in Armenia and EU Office in Yerevan. The general partners of the event were the Swiss Embassy in Armenia, Rostelecom, Sixt Rent a car, MegasportArmenia and Markarian law firm. ($1 – 415.3 drams). –0—
