Ten Armenian startups to attend Start-up Istanbul 2016 forum in Turkey
YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. Ten Armenian startups will attend Start-up Istanbul 2016 forum in Turkey for the first time, the Public Journalism Club reported on Friday.
The forum will be launched on October 6 and wrapped up on October 10. Some 500 startups and about 500 investors from different countries will take part in the forum, and the total number of participants reaches 4,000.
Applications for participation in the forum are accepted until August 21.
Representatives of Armenia’s IT industry will be selected by the Public Journalism Club and TEPAV Fund as part of the program ‘Support for Normalization of Armenia-Turkey 2 Process’.
The forum consists of two rounds – two-day mentor classes, interviews for participation in Startup Challenge, participation in Startup Challenge, presentation of Armenia’s IT products and eco system in a separate pavilion as part of startups’ exhibition and participation in annual Start-up Istanbul- 2016 congress.
According to the press release, this regional forum gives a unique chance to new Armenian IT industry to present its startups to venture investors and angel investors and to talk to experienced specialists and mentors.
Those Armenian ICT startup companies which have accomplished in putting innovative ideas into practice and which have functioning products or their samples are eligible to be selected for Start-up Istanbul-2016.
Participants’ travel, accommodation and meal expenses will be borne by the Public Journalism Club. --0--
