Armentel plans to reduce prices for GPRS and WAP in Armenia
YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. ArmenTel Armenian telecommunication company intends to reduce prices for GPRS and WAP services, ArmenTel sales director Gennady Kalgashkin told journalists Tuesday.
“We are planning to make the services more accessible and more convenient to allow our subscribers to actively use data transmission services and Internet through mobile communication,” Kalgashkin said.
ArmenTel expanded the access to wideband Internet (ADSL technologies) that is available now in 18 cities of Armenia. The company also focuses on development of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) Internet technologies in the region.
ArmenTel closed joint stock company is a daughter enterprise of “Vimpelcom” Russian telecommunication company (Beeline trademark) that has been the full owner of ArmenTel since April 2007. It provides services to about 650,000 fixed-line subscribers and over 784,000 mobile subscribers. –0—
