Orange Armenia mobile telecommunication operator to become member of Armenian union of information technologies enterprises

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. Orange Armenia mobile telecommunication operator is to become a member of Armenian Union of Information Technologies Enterprises, the UITE Executive Director Karen Vardanyan said at a press conference on Friday.

“The company has already expressed interest, and its membership in the Union will be decided within three months”, he said.

In his words, the Union unites 32 Armenian IT companies, including key telecommunication market players, such as ArmenTel.

Vardanyan also said that recently two companies – ADC, the leader on Yerevan’s telecommunication services market, and I-Max, internet provider, joined the union.

The Union of Information Technologies Enterprises was established in 2000 for securing of IT companies’ economic interests, promoting business and encouraging IT studies.

The UITE organizes DigiTec business forum and DigiTec international exhibition, which presents Armenian IT market to international companies, and holds informal meetings for representatives of IT sector.-0---
