YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. Earnings from communication services in Armenia were increased by 5.6% making 120.976 million drams during 9 months of 2009 (in current prices).
The share of postal and courier services is 1.4 million drams (decrease of 40.9%). Earnings from telecommunication system during 9 months of 2009 were 119.561 million drams increased by 6.5% in one year, including earnings from telecommunication services – 29.868 million drams decreased by 9.7% and telegraph services – 34 thousand drams increased by 18.8%. In total, earnings from telecommunication services during January-September 2009, particularly from subscribers’ and one-time payments were 6.61 million drams increased by 3.8%, mobile communication services were increased by 3.5% making 78.925 million drams.
During the reporting period earnings from data transfer services and Internet access were increased by 3.3 making 7.339 million drams, broadcasting of TV programs – 11.3% making 2.738 million drams and other services were reduced by 32.6% making 656 thousand drams during nine months of 2009. The largest share of earnings in communication sector goes to mobile communication services - 652% from the total earnings during nine months of 2009. Fixed telephony makes 24.7% from total earnings of the sector during the reporting period. ($1 – 386.47 drams). --0—
