All school in Armenian Vayots Dzor have computer classes
YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of education and science, the embassy of India to Armenia and the Pan-Armenian Hayastan Fund have announced today the successful completion of a joint project to create computer classes for all 50 schools of Vayots Dzor province.
The executive director of the Pan-Armenian Hayastan Fund Ara Vardanyan thanked the government of India for providing the funds.
The government of Armenia provided money for the repair of computer classes, the Hayastan Fund paid for the purchase of furniture, and the government of India paid for computers, printers and other necessary equipment.
Vardanyan said this cooperation has been running for 8 years. In 2009, a school was renovated in the village of Artsyn, in Lori region and in 2012 some 72 schools in Tavush region were equipped with computers.
The Indian ambassador Yogeshvar Sangwan said for his part that the Indian government is open for cooperation, and expressed readiness to provide support in the field of education in the future.
In total, 122 Armenian schools were renovated and equipped with computer classes during the years of cooperation. -0-
